Hi Torpedoes! I’m Coach Josie, and I’m so excited to be back for my fifth summer of coaching. I’ve been a part of this team since 2013. I joined the team when I was 6 and fell in love with the sport and of course, the heat winner lollipops and fun that comes with summer swim team. Over the years, I set around 15 Twin Hickory team records and one GRAL league record. Summer swim has always been my favorite part of the year. I love cheering everyone on, decking out for meet themes, and all the fun. I enjoy helping swimmers of all levels improve and maybe, learn to love butterfly the way I do? I just finished my freshman year at Lafayette College where I’m swimming Division 1 and studying Bioengineering. I can’t wait to meet and work with each of you this season! I will be around the pool a lot, not only coaching but also lifeguarding and giving swim lessons. I can’t wait for an amazing season, Torpedoes!

Arina is a rising Junior at Freeman High School.  She is a member of the Twin Hickory community serving as a lifeguard at our pool and has been a Torpedo for 10 years alongside her sister, Amelia!  In addition, she swims competitively and lifeguards at NOVA, swims at Freeman High School where she is captain of the team, and cheers sideline and competitively for Freeman High School.  Her favorite swim event: 25 BOBs :)

Favorite Treat: Bomb pops or any ice cream

Aaron is a rising junior at Deep Run Highschool.  He is a member of the Twin Hickory Community serving as a lifeguard at our pool and has been a Torpedo for 10 years! In addition he has swims competitively for NOVA and Deep Run Highschool. His favorite stroke is Backstroke!

Ivey is a rising sophomore at Glen Allen High School.  She is a member of the Twin Hickory community serving as a lifeguard at our pool.  She started swimming at 6 years old and is in her 9th season as a Torpedo.  Ivey also swims competitively for NOVA and Glen Allen High School.  Her favorite stroke is Breaststroke.

Emilie is a rising sophomore at Collegiate School. She is a member of the Twin Hickory community and has been a Torpedo for 8 years! In addition she swims competitively with NOVA and COOL. Her favorite event is 100 Fly!

Dylan Hughes is a rising sophomore at Deep Run Highschool.  He is a member of the Twin Hickory community serving as a lifeguard at our pool and has been a Torpedo for 8 years!  In addition he has swam competitively with NOVA for 8 years.  His favorite event is 50 Breaststroke!
